An amazing story and one we were very glad to help out on:

“Hurricane Irma, September 2017 left us homeless, our home in the BVI had been destroyed, our belongings scattered. Due to my husbands job, we were luckily sheltering on Necker Island and not at home, during the storm so we were safe! Myself and our two kids were evacuated via Puerto Rico to Antigua and then onto the UK to stay with family, we left with one small bag each and our passport. Leaving Keny my husband and our little rescue dog Milo behind.
In October my husband visited us in the UK and thanks to Helen’s help he was able to bring Milo! You can imagine the children’s delight! After finding out that all of their things at home had been destroyed and not knowing when we would be able to return home, their dog was here to comfort them.
It’s not easy to fly with a pet, there are so many details and loops! However Helen helped us through it all, Milo had to go through quarantine as we had no paperwork after the storm, Helen made sure he was as close as possible to where we were staying in the UK. We would visit him every weekend until eventually he was released and came home to our temporary Home in the UK. We lived in the UK for 8 months before returning to rebuild our home in the BVI.
Milo is a rescue dog he was found roaming the dumpsters on Tortola. He has since taken 2 short flights and 2 international flights, he experienced all the seasons in UK, before returning to his paradise in the BVI.”
